After directing comedy sketches for TV shows such as Action Discrète, Groland, and Objectif Ligue 1, Varante moved on to directing television series like Scènes de ménages, Commissariat Central, and Access, which he created alongside Thomas Pone and Ahmed Sylla for C8. In 2019, he released his first two feature films, the comedies Walter (400k admissions) and Inséparables (1 million admissions in France). His latest feature film, La Traversée (2022), brought together Alban Ivanov, Lucien Jean-Baptiste, and Audrey Pirault in a comedy that received a very positive response from both the audience and industry professionals.
